Welcome to where the FQF finally begins: the archive. It's looking a wee bit thin now, but by the end of January, you can be sure this page will be filled with Christmas and other holiday cheer featuring our favourite puppies.
All works will be posted according to Author's name (some of which may be different than the name they signed up with for the FQF, but don't let that throw you) with the fic name and a brief summary of the fic. And like last time, there will be that same sparkly text so you know which fics are the new ones just posted. Don't forget writers! As you get your fics done, send them to me and I'll have them posted as soon as I'm able to!
Don't forget the lovely gift of feedback. Each author's email is listed at the bottom of their fic. If you liked the fic (or art), do drop them a line and let them know. We love knowing our work was viewed and people liked it!!

Ready? - Challenge #33: MWPP era. It's Sirius and Remus's first Christmas as a couple, and when Sirius visits on Christmas day just about everyone in Remus's enormous family has their own opinion about him. Remus supposes he ought to have warned his parents more thoroughly about the rather dangerous young man he has invited to the Lupins’ annual Christmas gathering, but he wants them to like Sirius and so he merely smiles quietly as Sirius shakes his father’s hand and presents his mother with a bunch of muggle tulips.

Quiet Christmas - Challenge #45: Christmas Disaster: Lily, in a fit of nesting instincts, is determined to throw a Real, Old-Fashioned Christmas for her friends. Of course, it's an utter disaster. Suggested elements: Fire, gloopy pudding, "Remus and Sirius, will you come out from under the mistletoe for FIVE MINUTES?!" There are some things that should never be attempted, like trying to befriend the Dark Lord, constructing a large model of yourself out of toothpaste and Sirius Black's cooking. Trying to throw a traditional muggle Christmas for your friends if you're Lily Potter was probably almost as illadvised.

It's Sirius and Remus's first Christmas as a couple, and when Sirius visits on Christmas day just about everyone in Remus's enormous family has their own opinion about him. When Remus invites Sirius to spend Christmas with him, he promises that he'll tell every member of the enormous Lupin family that Sirius is his boyfriend. But is this promise more than Remus can handle?

(Ever seen Calvin's snowmen from the comic strip Calvin & Hobbes? Yeah, except maybe less mutilation.) May include magical moving ones, coloured, badly sculpted ones, suggestive ones, full-out scenes, snowmen with personalities and who attempt blindly to have disturbing conversations with onlookers, etc. At the end, the two have a veritable crowd of melting snowmen outside. James's brilliant idea for a prank goes awry when Sirius and Remus conjure up magical snowmen... Hogwarts Era.

And none of them could have picked a worse time to reveal it than New Year’s Eve, 1995.

(Kudos to therearenonames for noticing that Remus and Sirius seem to be avoiding each other on Christmas Day in OotP, but I'd like to imagine that it's because of something recent rather than because of something years ago.) Umbridge's crusade has left Remus feeling tense and reactive, which isn't the best of moods when he wants to discuss something that he's managed to avoid for over twenty years.

With the help of Unspeakable Corbin Croaker, Sirius devises a spell that depends on the only magic that can survive beyond the veil--the dark magic coursing through Remus's blood. But after Sirius enters the veil, he won't have access to his memories. He and Remus meet as strangers, or so they both think-- until Remus begins to dream.
